The Clemson Elementary PTA International Festival, held each spring for the past 20 years, is a staple of the CES PTA year and a way to celebrate the incredible diversity of our school family. Each year, over 30 countries are represented by students and families in song, dance, art, and food. Families prepare and share food from their native or heritage countries, and students walk in a parade while wearing clothes from around the world. Performances in the past include martial arts demonstrations, West African drumming, Bengali folk songs, Nigerian babywearing, Japanese origami, Indian henna, and a special performance by the 3rd grade chorus.
The PTA International Festival is a major fundraiser for the PTA and helps support the year-long programming of the PTA. In recent years, the International Festival has teamed up with the Art Department to host a sale of framed student art. This yearly art sale helps generate thousands of dollars in proceeds each year which directly benefits the CES art department.
The annual Clemson Elementary Fall Festival is a fantastic event for the whole family. The festival consists of games, bouncy houses, slides, food, prizes, face painting, pony rides, music and more. It is typically the first PTA sponsored event of the year and is a very successful fundraiser for us. Parents and community volunteers help to make it a special event for kids and parents alike.
About once each month, the Clemson Elementary PTA partners with local restaurants to host a school family night. Families are encouraged to eat at these restaurants and share a meal with their school friends. In return, the restaurant donates a percentage of proceeds to the PTA. These nights are often fun, social ways to connect with school friends while supporting local restaurants and our PTA. We are grateful for these restaurants for their past and current support of Clemson Elementary:
- McDonald's of Clemson
- Jersey Mike's in Clemson
- Your Pie of Clemson
- Wendy's of Clemson
- Itsurweiner Restaurant & Bar
